The artists are the foundation of the company, as it is their brush strokes that bring the fabrics to life—that provide the depth and texture to the fabrics, which make hand painted fabrics so distinctive.  The painters have no formal art training, only a desire to work and an ability to paint a swirl upon arrival.  With those qualifications unskilled labor from the surrounding townships rapidly became valued artists.
